At first glance, Constantina appears to be little more than a girl, but a certain determination in the set of her jaw and the grace of her deportment belies her youth. Gracing her lithe body is a form fitting dress of peacock blue silk, which accentuates her startling blue eyes.The dress has a high collar that reveals only a small glimpse of her swanlike neck. A cord of gold trims the collar, then trails across her left shoulder and down the left side of the sleeveless dress. Her normally unruly ebony curls are pulled away from her face by a simple gold circlet and cascade to the small of her back.
Brief History:
Born into the family of the richest merchant on Rhiyadhi, Constantina was a spoiled child. Her mother died in childbirth, and her father, being busy with the family business, left her to the care of an Amah. Her Amah, like most, was a very superstitious devout Muslim, and occasionally this influence can be seen in Constantina's attitude. Otherwise, her childhood was uneventful. She never formed very close ties to her family as she was sequestered from them most of the time. At the age of 16 she was married to Sayad al-Sarihm, the then head of House al-Sarihm, a House Minor and fief of the Bajazets. This was an arranged marriage that benefitted both houses bringing finances to House al-Sarihm and increased standing to her father. Shortly after her marriage, Constantina's father died of old age and her brother took over the family business. Constantina's marriage to Sayad seemed blessed by Allah. The two were well suited, and seemed destined for a happy marriage. Unfortunately, Sayad was killed in a tragic riding accident after only 5 years of marriage. With no legitimate children or living relatives, Constantina became head of House al-Sarihm to the dismay of many. Her first act was to dismiss her husband's concubines. She adopted her husband's advisors as her own, needing much advice on how to run both the household and to govern the planet. Although their advice has been invaluable to her, as she has become more proficient and comfortable with her newfound power, she often becomes irritable at their inability to accept a woman in her position. Recently she has come to Kaitain, saying that she is vacationing from a hard winter on Rhiyadhi.
Psychological Profile:
Constantina is a psycholoical enigma. Her attitude regarding matters is unpredictable, alternately progressive and conservative, reflecting her various positions in life. She tends to take a conservative approach to most issues, falling on her Muslim background, but it is unclear if she believes in the tenets, for when they do not suit her she seems quickly to forget them. She is still unsure about her position in power, often deferring to men. Yet, she also is very loyal to the memory of her husband and protective of her House and Rhiyadhi. Constantina has gained a certain measure of independence since becoming head of House al-Sarihm, but is still naive in many ways and more trusting than she should be.

Constantina is overall in excellent health, although she does suffer from bouts of fatigue occasionally due to the high stress of her position.
